It Goes Around

My name's Craig. I'm a metal fan. A horror fan. A Flyers fan. And most importantly, a Rush fan. That's pretty much my life.

Some nice pics from the Mirada site for the development of the intro sequence. Mostly posting because I recognize the Hallgrímskirkja and I see they’ve replaced Leif with a kaiju….

I loved the world building in Pacific Rim. It was done so well and in a way that isn’t normal for a lot of movies like this

Pacific Rim seemed like something I wouldn’t like, but all of your posts are getting me all interested in it… I know it’s sacrilege, but the whole big robots fighting monsters thing doesn’t really appeal to me… but stuff like this seems pretty cool, the whole idea of the world that such a conflict takes place in seems interesting to me. Maybe I should watch it or something…

Omg Craig. I am buying it on blu ray when it comes out. WE CAN WATCH IT IN BETWEEN RISK LEGACY GAMES WHEN WE ALL PLAY OVER THANKSGIVING BREAK. Mitchell and I saw it together when it came out but I am sure he wouldn’t mind watching it again either.

D’aww, ok… I bought a new board game by the way. And seeing as a have less than or equal to 2 friends here, I may need assistance in playing it some time…

Ahem. Called it.
Yeahhh…. I feel like it isn’t that surprising/was just bound to happen haha. I know she liked me way back in Freshman year, so hopefully she can like me again and we can actually start dating. How’re you and Sarina doing?

Right, it seemed rather inevitable… I hope it all goes well, let me know! And we’re good! Tomorrow is 11 months together, so that’s exciting. But yep, everything around here is going well.

Chemistry has sucked all life from my body.

Hooray for chemistry being the worst thing in the world (said the person currently procrastinating writing a lab report)!

I’m putting off a lab report for chem too!

The three of us may be separated by hundreds of miles, yet the terrors of chemistry still find a way to reach us all the same.

this is very calming

Yeah, I think you’re right. It’s still going around in a circle (at the same rate as it goes around the circle perfectly in time) so (while it’s on the left and right sides at least) you can think of it as a sine curve with a changing radius that doesn’t necessarily change at the rate necessary to make a straight line. It looks like it slows down in the middle of the side, and I think that’s to offset the amount of time it takes the circle to go around. Oooh, or if you think of it this way, the angular velocity is staying the same, but the tangential is always changing. When the radius is larger (at the corners rather than the middles), the tangential velocity is therefore higher, and seeing as the curve measures position on the side over time (the derivative being tangential velocity), it makes sense that it’s steeper near the top and bottom, and least steep in the middle. Bam. I’m proud of figuring that out.

Ugh. You’re disgusting. Stop being diligent. Don’t you understand that procrastination is the natural human reaction to writing essays?

First comic of the new semester features pop singer Taylor Swift, sort of. (14Jan2013)

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Yeah right! You love it! You just wish you had come up with it yourself!

I wish I remembered Taylor series, so I understood the joke (hey-oh, untrue self burn!)

I wish I knew Taylor Swift songs, so I understood the joke (hey-oh, I got nothing. I just don’t listen to taylor swift)

I like Maclaurin Swift better.
